What is the accommodations feature and how does it work?
Teacher to Teacher Tip:
Any student can be assigned accommodations, not just students who are legally required to receive them. This is helpful for students in an RTI program or who are being monitored for various reasons. This is a good place to build a case for students who need accommodations, but don’t receive them legally.
For students who have accommodations, teachers can track their accommodation usage in ClassMax on the spot. When adding students to your class periods, you can select which accommodations specific students receive. This puts individual student needs right at your fingertips.
To set individual student accommodations, go to the student profile from the class period dashboard and follow these steps:
- Select Accommodations.
- Select accommodation(s) used from our provided list. Multiple accommodations can be selected at one time.
- Add any accommodations that are not provided on our list by selecting the plus sign (+). Type in the accommodation and select an icon. Click Save.
